The Thread of Atonement is a study that traces the biblical theme of atonement throughout the Scriptures. The thread of atonement is woven all throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, as seen in Old Testament stories and prophecies foreshadow the coming One who would make atonement for sins with His own body and blood. This study intends to equip students with the ability to recognize these signs, symbols, and pointers that all lead to Jesus and His sacrifice for the sins of the world. In addition, students will also see that atonement is at the heart of the gospel, and that our mission as God's people involves calling people everywhere to this atonement that brings a life of reconciliation and peace both now and for eternity in the city of the Lamb.Features: 13 ChaptersThree devotionals per chapterGroup discussion questionsAuthors: Kendell Easley is a professor of biblical studies at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, and is the director of the Master of Christian Studies and Doctor of Ministry programs for Union's Stephen Olford Center.Christian George is assistant professor of biblical and theological studies at Oklahoma Baptist University.Joey Jernigan serves as a lead pastor at Lanier Islands Community Church in Buford, Georgia.
