An enjoyable read. More mystery with a hint of literary fiction, rather than book club fiction, regardless of the fact it's from Amazon's book club imprint, Lake Union Publishing. Perhaps a smidge of romantic suspense as well.

The book kept me entertained, but no lasting impression to "stay with me" after I turned the last page. I did learn some cool astronomy ( )

Gone Geeky Girl. This book definitely has a Gone Girl kind of vibe to it as we follow a female NASA astronomer as she presents her findings in DC, then comes home to find her husband missing. Overall, it was a very cleverly written book from an angle not often seen, and so from that perspective was excellent. My only quibble is that I am one of those that virtually *never* sees the bad guy coming... and in this one, it was fairly obvious by the 60% mark. Still, an absolutely worthy read and highly recommended. ( )

A beautifully written, fast-paced read that will pull you in from the beginning. Authors are some of my favorite people, I marvel at their ability to research. This book is so well researched, you will have a lesson in the stars in addition to solve a mystery. A marriage is floundering and a restauranteur is suing his partners. From here this read takes off. I did figure out early on who did it, but it didn’t diminish to story line for me. The ending left me with a lot of questions...a sequel?

Excellent Book

I enjoyed this book a lot. Very good storyline and quite suspenseful. New author to me- I’ll have to see what else she has written! ( )

I really liked the idea behind this book--wife goes on a business trip, husband is missing when wife gets home, and nothing is as it seems. I also really liked the geeky love story and that the wife is a genius astronomer for NASA. I think the plot could have been fleshed out a little more to make the story less predictable but it was still entertaining. ( )
