Great story set in the early 1990's during the disintegration of USSR and the prelude to the gulf war. The research and integration of economic and political history into a story of attempts to aid Russia while not evolving into a German/Japanese economic bloc with more power than the US or China or Israel would bear was extremely well written. (

On the edge of war in the Gulf,a crumbling USSR,a reunited Germany are the background of this interesting story about international business corporations.Gil Langton a mediator-in-chief has to operate between the influences of Japan-Germany,USSR-USA and the Asian block [incl.Australia].Gil has to manoevre global power-broking.But a brilliant woman already to much involved in this business has to take the consequences.
