( ) Apocalypse chow! : How to eat well when the power goes out is authored by a husband and wife duo who have been through hurricanes and learned how to make do without power. Determined never to live on ravioli and canned beans, they perused grocery stores and small ethnic chains to come up with no power or low power quick recipes to help restore body and soul in case of an emergency. Rather than stock up on canned beans, why not couscous and dried fruit? The recipes are vegetarian, but canned meat could easily be added to most. What I enjoyed about this book are the quick grain recipes (Couscous, quinoa) that I have already started using. A suggested shopping list is included. The book also discusses how boredom can be an important factor when spending days/weeks without power and includes fun instructions on how to recreate various fancy napkin folds. If you have time time, why not eat in style (Even if on paper plates)? nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
