This story is set on an olden day farm. The seasons in the book is not your normal seasons it is actually the seasons of life. This book uses a family with two kids and explain the things they go through day by day. The kids in my class knew what some of the pages where without me reading them such as the young child losing his kite and crying. They loved the book and all the pictures. It also showed them how planting and other things where done in the past. ( )

This book is a Bible verse broken into pages and illustrations for a younger audience. Daly used awesome imagery to help tell the story. The seasons talked about are not actual seasons of weather, but seasons of life. Daly though uses images to portray different seasons through this book. Overall I loved this book, and it will become a staple in my personal library. ( )

The scripture used in this book are undeniably beautiful. Couple that with amazing illustrations, and you have one of my favorite books. I just love how the verses are set in a pastoral scene, which furthers the idea of 'seasons.' This is just altogether a lovely book. ( )
