Captain Singh is caught between his conscience, his duty to the England, and his love of Arabella when the Prince decides to take over Mars. The space war that ensues requires all of the Singh's wits and much help from their friends. Sadly, this is the final book in the trilogy. (

Napoleon having been defeated, the Prince Regent decides to expand English territory on Mars by taking over the whole planet. Arabella (now Mrs Singh), her family and friends are forced to choose sides in the conflict - are they English or Martian?

This final episode in the trilogy started off well, showing how difficult the choices were for all involved but lagged a bit in the middle with the battles being overlong. Still, it was great fun with lots of derring do even if some of the miraculous escapes were a little too miraculous. I do wish we could have seen more of Lady Corey, though. (
