This story was boring and repetitive. If the author wanted me to care for any of the characters in the book, that never happened. I only finished it because it was for a book club. ( )
February 2020 - I skimmed my way around in it because I liked the idea of a bunch of people roadtripping around, spreading the ashes of their BFF around the country, but I could not with these women. I have no interest in any of them and their back stories. Let’s re-write it with a bunch of guys.
I skimmed through this book faster than I have ever skimmed a book before. The author lost me after the first few pages; reading about the woman who was in love with her worn out bra was enough for me. And I only skimmed to the end because this book was chosen for a book club. What a waste of time. ( )
bookbox; 5 friends are given the directive by their recently deceased friend to get together and follow Annie's directions to be the "pallbearers" of her ashes in an all expenses paid traveling funeral. At every stop, there's a surprise waiting that explains certain major things in Annie's life. At first very somber, the gals get in the spirit of Annie with Red high-top Keds and red bandanas. good book ( )
It didn't work for me. I couldn't get into it. It sounded so darn cute but it was pretty sad at times and I couldn't really connect with the characters. I didn't finish it. ( )

This book, which some might think is about dying, is really about living. It is for any woman-every woman-who has every lost something or someone she loved and then grieved, touched the sorrowful edges of her own soul, embraced the heart of loss-and then moved forward.
