Another Quest for Celeste is the sequel to A Nest for Celeste. Celeste accidentally finds herself on a river boat traveling miles from her home on the plantation. She meets up with a friendly hound but they are soon separated by a terrible crash. Celeste is left scared and alone in the middle of an unfamiliar forest. She is soon befriended by some friendly forest creatures and eventually ends up at the home of young Abe Lincoln.
The author uses personification to tell a sweet story about honesty, friendship and survival. The setting, plot and characters transports the reader back to the time period in which Abe Lincoln was a boy. This book is recommended for children in grades 3-5. It is both historical fiction and fantasy. ( )
