Inspired by the work of Aaron Lansky, founder of the National Yiddish Book Center, this is the story of a boy who learns to love Yiddish from his grandfather, who has almost given it up. ( ) This is a story of a boy Aaron that has to live in the same room as his Grandpa. Aaron wants his grandpa to teach him Yiddish, but grandpa says he is too young. Later Grandpa must be moved to a nursing home. When Aaron comes to find that grandpa has thrown out his books because he is too old, Aaron insisted he teach him Yiddish. Aaron takes all of the books out of the trash and Grandpa teaches him Yiddish before he passes away. Years later, Aaron would go on to teach his son Yiddish too. This is a good lesson on keeping traditions going, and not losing ones culture. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
