It gives a nice introduction to life on the Caribbean. Jun-Jun wants magic to happen and take care of all his work while he daydreams the time away. Readers can also anticipate what Jun Jun will say and the ending is clever and fun. Gershator does a great job incorporating Caribbean culture in her readings ( ) “A young boy, Junjun, is a dreamer and when asked to do chores he immediately whishes they would be done without his effort. He says the words “rata-pata-scata-fata” and by chance the chores are done. For example, the wind knocks the fruit from the tree instead of him climbing to get them himself. In the end, Momma is tired and Junjun tells her to say “rata-pata-scata-fata” and then she is surprised by the outcome” nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
