This set includes a comprehensive teacher's guide designed to accompany the Holocaust Remembrance Series for Young Readers, plus all nine books in the series and one additional junior novel with a social justice theme. The books are: Hana's Suitcase on Stage, Guardian Angel House, The Diary of Laura's Twin, Hiding Edith, The Underground Reporters, The Righteous Smuggler, The Night Spies, Clara's War, the Secret of Gabi's Dresser, and Yeny and the Children for Peace. The guide explores major themes: identity - community - rights - responsibilities - the power to choose - how our choices are influenced - the effects our choices have on the world around us. Highly adaptable and easily integrated into existing classroom programming, it is made up of five separate sections that include full lesson plans with handouts to help teachers in the areas of language arts, the arts, social and character education.
