You can see the plot "twist" coming from about page 10 which is OK since it's the only logical resolution of the strange premise of sending convicts. What really made me dislike the book were the horrible characters, most of whom are nothing much beyond stereotypes. ( )

Great story, combining near future science with human behavior ( )

When a private space agency embarks on a mission to colonise Mars they enlist the services of life-sentence inmates. In return for the work in setting up habitable structures in anticipation of the first immigrants to the Red Planet, the prisoners will be rewarded with a life on employment with the company - albeit on on Mars. Things begin to go wrong and what seems like an accidental death turns out to be something more sinister. Nowhere to go, no place to hide, who is behind this and why...?? A thrilling spacey locked room mystery!
