He is just the right amount of possessive and infatuated that I need. Mmm hmmm. Briar, even though young, was not at all immature. She had such a good heart. Together, they were the true meaning of kismet. Add in steam, interesting side characters, tattoos, and piercings and I was in heaven reading this. Loved this book, it was highly anticipated and it did not disappoint. Charleigh Rose writes characters that you get so invested in, and that are so broken, you don't see how they can possibly have anything good left in them. This book made me,cry, it made me laugh(I'm looking at your Adrian...who better get his own book) and it made my heart soar. This was such a great book I devoured it in a day, and now I am hungover. Asher and Briar are amazing characters to have come to live right before my eyes. This story is told in dual pov. I enjoyed this book. When you first read the blurb, you are a little wary because she seems to be young. Then I read the book and it is really well in my opinion not that bad. True, Briar was only 14 when they first admitted their feelings, but they really did not do anything but kiss. Ash had a lot of emotional issues and damn do you not feel for him as you read the book. At the same time that he was battling his supposed hatred of Briar because he thought that she had betrayed him he was also loving her because he couldn't help it. I liked Briar so many characters tend to be wimpy and let the guy do everything they want and they just take, even though she was young she portrayed herself well, and yes she also couldn't resist Ash, so they gave into their attraction, but she spoke her mind and when he left her in the hospital I was happy that she made him work for her, didn't just give in the minute he called. You will also like their friends, Nat her best friend, and Adrian. Even Dash, she was his little sister and he loved so he wanted the best for her. I can't wait for the next book. Charleigh rose, you made yourself a fan. Enjoy!! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

BRIARI was infatuated with Asher Kelley the moment he came tumbling through my brother's window five years ago. Even bruised and bloodied, he was the most beautiful boy I'd ever seen. We couldn't ever be together.I was too young, and he was too untouchable. He was too troubled, and I was too naive. But the heart is rebellious, and mine decided it didn't care about any of those things. As I got older, harmless flirting turned to stolen moments in dark corners. Until one day, he was gone without a trace. Now, three years later, he's back. Callous and cruel. He's my brother's best friend. My parents' worst nightmare.I should hate him. But like a Bad Habit, I can't quit him. ASHERI was drawn to Briar Vale from the first time she looked up at me with stars in her big, blue eyes. She was just a kid, nothing but elbows and knees, but she was the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen. We could never be together.I was too old and she was too off limits. She was too good and I was too fucked up.Eventually, the temptation became too much to resist. I risked everything for a kiss and she betrayed me. Three years have passed and I'm forced to see her again, but now she's all grown up. She's my best friend's baby sister. My downfall. I hate her for what she did. But she's always been my drug of choice Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

This was a great angst love story about Briar and Asher. Asher came from an unstable home and Briar came from a wealthy home they were total opposites but fit so right together. I loved this book and even though Briar is a little young she is very mature and handles situations with such class and grace that you overlook her age (she’s 17 going on 18 and Asher is 21). I can’t wait to read the others stories. ( )
