I just deleted my comments/30% review without publishing it. I was about to hit "save" button, when I realised that there is not a single positive word that I can write here about this whole ordeal. Instead, here is a simple list of issues I have so far:

- 24 year old manchild, and not the fun Jack Sparrow or Tom Hanks (referring to movie "Big") type;
- 24 year old manchild who by some mighty miracle survived as a pirate and a captain to be 24 years old;
- hygiene;
- neglect. Because letting the poor boy run around in wet clothes, while dirty and stinky is neglect;
- commas. OMG, they are killing this story! Not there is much to kill, but they are the proverbial kick, delivered to someone who is already down :/

I remember the times when this book was a big deal and everyone and their cousin was reading it and loving it. It was such a hype! *sigh* What a disappointment in turned out to be! :(

PS I wish Samantha Cayto re-wrote it. After all, there is a potential here, it's the execution that's lacking :(

UPDATE:
I really don't know how the two MCs survived; one as a pirate for as long as he did, the other one as a Hunter. Must be by some miracle.

This book is funny, over-the-top and in a corny b-movie way. Okay, It's stupid...Eight legged freaks, Army of Darkness, a certain Pirate (Johnny Depp) Franchise, kind of entertaining book. I liked it. It made me laugh more than once. Savvy. But it was stupid. Just look at the cover. 3 stars ( )

A pirate and an alien that looked a whole lot like a Cardassian. It was a funny book. I'm not sure I see the appeal of Mr. Pirate, but it was entertaining to watch him interact in a futuristic environment. ( )

Oh I do love a good sci-fi adventure with hunky aliens. Details of the Hunt did not disappoint. Though it started off a bit slow with some worthwhile world building, the pace quickly picked up and then all hell broke loose after that.

Mix together a cocky pirate captain and a time-traveling warrior alien and you will get great dialogue with lots of laughs, tense action, surprising alien sex love scenes, and enough romance to satisfy any romance reader. Lots of twists and turns will keep you glued to the story. I simply loved it. ( )

This book is a great mixture of different elements. It's part sci-fi and part historical novel, you'll find aliens and you'll find pirates, some parts are action packed and some parts are hilarously funny. And on top of that you'll get some extremely hot (and inventive) sex. No wonder when one of the characters is a 7 foot tall, alpha male, alien warrior with a sex organ a little bit better endowed than it's human counterpart. What a package (pun intended)!

Talos, the above mentioned warrior and bounty hunter from the race of the Oracans, lives in the 26th century and is asked to bring the pirate Aidan Maymon from the 18th to the 26th century, to enrich the archaeological knowledge of Earth's mankind. Talos never ment to see more in the likable Aidan than a simple bounty, everything else would be a punishable violation of his personal code of honor and the strict rules of his warrior race. But the instant attraction between Talos and Aidan is undeniable and soon he can't help but fall in love with Aidan. But will it be possible to alter the Details of the Hunt and turn his bounty into his lifemate?

I just loved this book and can recommend it without hesitation as a must read. It's a great mixture of different elements which blend perfectly with each other. What I especially liked about this book is the believable description of how Aidan struggles with the life and the culture in the 26th century, which is completely foreign to him. And I loved the sex scenes, too. ;-) ( )
