Is abortion a woman's right? When does human life begin?Should we legislate morality? What would happen if the Socrates of old suddenly appeared in modern Athens? Peter Kreeft imagines the dialog that might ensue with three worthy opponents--a doctor, a philosopher and a psychologist--about the arguments surrounding abortion.Kreeft uses Socratic technique to strip away the emotional issues and get to the heart of the rational objections to abortion. I thought that is book was really helpful in teaching people have to have a helpful conversation about abortion, but has the ability to teach pro-life people to express their views lacking compassion. In general, I think that it is a great book, and unlike many books dealing with the abortion debate, is done in a way that makes you want to continue to read it. ( )

This is Peter Kreeft at his finest. It is hard to explain how Kreeft took such a divisive issue and turned it into such an entertaining, engaging read. I think it when he has Socrates transcend time and step into an abortion clinic. Bravo! ( )
