This is not an AR book but it is very good adventure about a boy going on a vacation and turns into treasure hunt............ ( )

Arron Pendleton and his family are off to Kauai for vacation. When he gets there, Arron signs up to go on Zodiac Pirate Tours with Captain Daniel Pierce. While he is on the tour, he discovers a plan to sabotage Captain Dan's boat and is shot at by someone. He meets Captain Dan's daughter and together then solve the mystery and find out why Captain Dan and the whole island is in danger by a land developer named McKraft. In his adventures, Arron finds the lost tunnels inside the volcano on Kauai and also discovers a backpack with only a hand attached, a body, and a buried treasure. Boys would like this mystery with a boy as the main character. There is some romance with Captain Dan's daughter, Kate. There is not a lot of mystery involved. It reads more like an adventure story. Nothing great, but enough to keep you reading. ( )
