Nice book for military history SF fans: Joel Rosenber's book has an interesting mix of military history, Jewish nationalism and good-old sci-fi violance. To some extent, he follows in R.A.Heinlein's steps, only that his chatacters are more human and less exciting. He makes interesting references to historic figures (that reveal the age of the book by being already outdated) and makes a half-baked attempt at building a complete ethos for a mercenary society. The book is short enough for Joel Rosenberg to get away with it and so he does. The story is light, very readable, and in fact - fun. If you don't get distracted by the plethora of Heilein's cliche's, you can have a good time with this one. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Business success or failure is often determined by decisions made in establishing selling prices for products and services. . . . In this clear and readable work, the authors present a good summary of the literature on pricing policy, emphasizing the relevance of costs. They propose a system that involves analyzing indirect costs to distinguish those that may be relevant to pricing in some circumstances but not others. This `analytical contribution accounting' has promise as a tool for many businesses. Students writing papers on costs and pricing policy would find this volume a useful starting point. The bibliography is good. . . . College and university collections. Using practical examples and simple language, this book develops an accounting system that is a new and functional key to making product pricing decisions. This accounting system, which bridges the gap between full and direct costing, is called Analytical Contribution Accounting. Georges and McGee demonstrate practically as well as theoretically why it is so superior for pricing purposes. The system is based on the relativity aspects implicit in the direct cost method, and on the calculations of a set of differentiated contributions. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Writes about Israel though, go figure. Anyway, Israel was kicked out of the promised land and took over a desolate ball of a planet. Now they are mercenaries to support themselves. It was dedicated to a Bob Adams". I'm going to find out if it is the Bob Adams I know. Wouldn't that be a kicker. Bleh story though. Grey describes it very well." ( )
