A young woman commits suicide, some time later a young woman's body is found by the road side, her boyfriend disappears and his father is murdered. Nameless is hired to watch a man who caused a car accident that killed a woman, mother of the boyfriend and wife of the murdered man. Add a little smuggling of whiskey from Canada and stir. Confused? That is why the title of the book is "Labyrinth." It all fits together and Nameless figures it out. Thank goodness, the police couldn't. A good read! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

In the end Pronzini has a last attempt to make something of the rash of coincidences but unless you step over the genre boundary into horror à la Final Destination or the Omen and add a supernatural element it's got no real bite. Frankly I was more disturbed by Nameless's seemingly encyclopaedic knowledge of nautical terms. ( )
