Right in all the feels.

This book would be good to help prepare children for a loss. It deals with aging (especially the faster aging of dogs) and the fact that dogs/people slow down and are less able to do certain things as they get older. It does not deal with death itself or the aftermath, although many readers will know that's coming. ( )

Grab some tissues before you read this one... Anyone who's ever loved a pet will appreciate this book. ( )

A bit too mild and indirect, but this story may serve as a useful tool to begin a conversation with a child about aging and end of life. ( )

Sweet story of a girl and her dog and the many things to do together. A nice reminder that we all should find time to do special things with all the pets and people that we love. I especially like the fact that two sisters collaborated on this book. Speaking of which, the illustrations are wonderful. ( )
