I was really forward to book 2 as I loved IPB series and wanted more from the author. You will need to read book 1 to get the best enjoyment from this book as events from book lead to the situation Sasha is in. I got to be honest it started off good initially, we pick up straight away from the last book where Sasha has been snatched by a crazy dragon and flown off with her, then I found it a bit slow. But I think this is because of the detail about Sasha and Dakh and this is needed to some extent as Sasha's past, esp her dealings with Tate, a malitia soldier from the fort she had lived in before with Claudia and her sister Amy. Dakh needs to overcome some of Sasha's issues if they are to have an sort of relationship. There are huge cultural differences and I think this is one of the things Ruby Dixon writes best. The misunderstandings caused by those differences are hilarious. The story really picks up once around 50%, their relationship is established. We meet back up with Kael and Claudia and her sister Amy. We are reminded of the doctor we met in book 1 another female named Melina. We also meet a new character Emma and we have whispers of other dragons. I thought I knew how the plot would go, Tate versus Dakh but although we do see Tate again, I was really suprised at the turn of events in the story, things get really complicated and we end up learning A LOT about the dragon's history and culture and the events that led to them coming through the rift. The book ends leaving it obvious Emma's book is next and things for her are complicated. She has been surviving for a long time on her own and id very independent so book 3 should be interesting. I have to be honest at a point early on I almost put it down but after completing it I am glad I did. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Bloodlust and insanity rule my existence. As a fierce drakoni warrior, this strange new world I find myself in eats at my mind until there is nothing left. There is no light or clarity...until she arrives. I save her life, plucking her from the sky. From that point on, she is mine. But the human I have chosen for my mate - Sasha - is fragile and wounded. She does not trust me and fears my presence. I will not give up, though. I will do anything to give her my fires and bond us both in body and spirit. How can I convince her that I want nothing more than her happiness if she will not let me touch her?How does a dragon woo a human? Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

But, enter Emma and Zohr. At first I'll admit I didn't trust Emma. But she turned out to be fine. I'm curious to see how things work out with her and Zohr in the next book. Claudia and Sasha were pretty ignorant of all things drakoni and how the mating process worked. But Emma knows exactly what she's getting into. That will be a refreshing change.
For the most part these books are entertaining. I'm not 100% loving the characters, but I'm interested enough to see where this series leads. ( )
