Too much unabashed romance for romance sake. Just couldn't get into it and stopped reading in the middle. ( )

This erotic thriller has a variety of plotlines. There's Simone, a psychiatrist who's been asked to read an erotic manuscript about a lawyer and his dead girlfriend to diagnose the man's guilt, whether the death was by accident or murder. There's Simone's business partner, Edward, with whom she's doing research using fake names on the internet. Edward is also helping the police with a serial killer. And there's Simone's patients, all of whom have various types of sexual issues.
I thought this might be a good thriller book to read, but I was bored pretty quickly. Keeping track of the various plotlines ended up more of some thin stories to tie together a lot of erotic passages. I don't have a problem with erotica, but I thought I was reading a thriller. I would have liked those elements drive the story.
I also thought all the characters sounded the same; it was hard to tell them apart from the dialogue which met they all melded together for me. Maybe it's just this didn't turn out to be what I was looking for originally, and other readers will enjoy it, but it's not for me. ( )
