I will admit I was nervous to read Gravity, after enjoying Entropy and failing to like Duality I didn't know what to expect with Gravity, but I wanted answers. Unlike the short timeframe between Entropy and Duality, Gravity takes place several years later. We're provided glimpses of what happened during the 5 years Lisa and Sir spent apart, but Gravity specifically picks up during an intense period in both Sir and Lisa's lives. Lisa is no longer needed as a full time caregiver for Wendy and her young son, as Wendy is now married. Sir has taken on his youngest companion yet, a girl who could easily be his child, and they enjoy another form of BDSM together. Lisa and Sir immediately find themselves picking up where they left off, a friendship forming between them easily due to the bond they share. They rely on each other in a new way, for advice and kinship, but overtime realize that the bond they have is something more.

Lisa and Sir have aged, their lives are different than they were in the start, further complicated by the 5 years they spent apart and yet these two seem only meant to be together. The friendship between them is obviously just the start of something more, readers will immediately see the chemistry between them never died. I continued to struggle with Sir, he falls in love so easily and manipulates everyone in his life, but in Gravity I felt he finally started to learn and change. Lisa, on the other hand, has grown more complex, her maturity showing on her physically and mentally. Without their previous rules and their obligation and Dominant and submissive Lisa and Sir discover a new type of relationship. It's more fluid, it comes with a lot of thought and an intimacy that can only be found over time.

Smith's complicated writing style from the previous novels is gone, with Gravity featuring a beginning, middle, and end that follows a very linear pattern. The third-person perspective remains constant, allowing readers the opportunity to observe both character's lives separately and together, allowing us to know that these two are indeed going to fall into one another again. As the characters aged so too did this novel and the situations the characters find themselves in. At points things seemed laughable, but I also recognized that Lisa and Sir were dealing with the fear that comes with age and the loss of vitality. They both held on tightly to their youthful exuberance, but together found a happiness in the quiet pace of sharing a life together. I really enjoyed that Smith continued to include secondary characters through out the series, their parts very important in how the entire series worked. We see them with coworkers and friends, with children and ex-partners, as they deal with the outside world beyond their own relationship.

Gravity is a solid conclusion to the Entropy series, with each book perfectly represented as Act I, Act II, and Act III in a series that could easily be a movie. It's modern erotica mixed with literary fiction, with characters that aren't the average book age and situations that mirror every reader's real life in some way. I highly recommend this series to readers who are looking for something that breaks the norm, but still gives them that wistful romance feel and that lusty, sexual deviance we seek in erotica. ( )

I received an advanced copy of Gravity for an honest review, and I was so happy that Mr. Smith was gracious enough to give it to me. I read Entropy and Duality, and I was . . . well, I wasn't happy with the way he ended Duality, so I was happy to find out he wrote a third.

Gravity is the story of Sir and Lisa, who after some time, are reunited. Relationships are tricky, and Sir and Lisa's is no exception. Issues and personal reasons keep them apart, and it was interesting to see how they navigated real-life problems while trying to figure out their relationship.

Mr. Smith wrote a delicious conclusion to his passionate trilogy. It was everything I could have wanted in an ending, with a cherry on top! ( )

I was provided a copy of Gravity in exchange for an honest review.
Having read the first two novels, Entropy and Duality, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the third instalment of the series.
What can I say? I absolutely loved it as much as—if not more than—the first two.
Gravity is set 5 years down the line from the previous novel, Duality. It focuses on the relationships between Lisa and her daughter, Wendy, and a new relationship that Sir pursues with a young lady.
Joshua Edward Smith’s writing style is incredibly witty, intelligent and genuine. The sex scenes are tasteful and beautiful, with a deeper meaning to them than any other I’ve read. Somehow, it makes you want to come out of your comfort zone and explore new possibilities. His writing has truly inspired me and given me understanding of the BDSM lifestyle.
If you haven’t read the first two I wholly urge you to read them right now! And if you have read them—it’s a no-brainer! ( )

Gravity is the third installment of Joshua Edward Smith’s Entropy series. The story dives deep into the relationship of Sir and Lisa as they have developed over the first two novels. Sir’s search for happiness, outside of the confines of marriage, takes him down a road of self-actualization. He arrives in a place ready for acceptance of a partnership but with a deeper understanding of mutual exclusivity; he is finally able to sooth his own restless soul. Lisa on the other hand has not quite completed her metamorphosis into the beautiful woman Sir believes her to be. Through continued self-discoveries Lisa is able to grow in Gravity.

Joshua Edward Smith pens the Entropy series with a beauty and grace unlike others in the genre. While initially his diction and structure choices appear simplistic, the connotative derivatives underneath are far more sophisticated and complex. His thematic developments of communication, compromise, and willingness to hold a partner to a specific set of standards by which they both crave and desire is the glue which holds this final installment together. Gravity is the perfect ending to finding one’s ultimate path to true love and respect.

I read Gravity and I loved it. 😊

I recommend reading Entropy and Duality first, but you don't have to, Gravity stands alone.

Although, to get to know the characters, I suggest you do read them. It's well worth it.

When I first read Entropy, it was based on other articles written by Mr. Smith. Here's a link, https://alfageeek.wordpress.com

When I read fantasy, it's usually horror or sci-fi, so the content of sexuality, was new for me to read. I was pleasantly surprised to find how well written it was. It kept me pretty entertained and before I knew it, I was hooked. The sexual overtones were excellent and not at all over-rated. As far as relationships go, Mr. Smith is very well knowledged. I could go on about the characters and how they relate, but I'd hate to be a spoiler. To say the least, the characters were seamless. When you finish one story, the next book always follows up nicely, even if some time has passed.

Joshua Smith, not only tells a story, he tells one that people can relate.
Such life-like characters and situations.

So I encourage you, if you only read one book today, read Gravity (Book three in the series of Lisa and Sir).... But I really do suggest you read all three. ( )
