What do gods do with no one to restrain them? Gillen and McKelvie are always trying to do interesting things. There's an issue which is the form of interviews in a magazine about the gods—and Gillen even got real magazine writers to interview him in character, and then they wrote up the interviews themselves. Which is all very neat, and I'm sure devoted Wicdiv readers got a lot out of it... but I found myself skimming.

I'm loving this series right now. Finally got character development and more explanation. I liked the magazine issue a lot too. Very clever. I'm starting to like Laura too now that she is a god. ( )

Another great read! As usual graphics are great and storyline was moving along nicely. The gods deal with the aftermath of Ananke's death and now that they are free of her, begin acting in different ways. Also there is a new bad thing... the darkness. All I can say is poor Baphomet. Looking forward to reading the next one. ( )

After the last volume of this series I wasn’t sure where the story was going to go - Ananke had been brutally murdered by Persephone after a ridiculous amount of poor behaviour culminating in the kidnap (and plotted murder presumably) of Minerva, but the Pantheon was left leaderless and chaotic with a helluva lot of internal drama. This collection picks up the story in a rather haphazard way by providing readers with “interviews” with some of the premiere gods and goddesses of the Pantheon, allowing us to get some insight into their take on events, the perception of them by the public (the “journalists” aren’t exactly unbiased), and a brief look back on the enigmatic Lucifer who died at the very start of the story. Going forward, I fully anticipate a lot more chaos, since the Pantheon’s “leadership” is shaky at best, and there’s too many strong personalities actually running around acting like all-knowing gods. I’m most concerned about Urdr, who had a judgemental and bitter streak long before she became an oracle, and of course Persephone, who seems to play the wild card every chance that she gets. I started out the series thinking that she was a wannabe fangirl, but now that she’s gotten powers she’s let the entire thing go to her head and doesn’t seem to understand that Persephone isn’t just the lady mistress of Hades but also the daughter of Spring. Let’s show a little growth occasionally, rather than just bringing the destruction, shall we? ( )
