Nobody learns a lesson, there's no drama or conflict, and I have no idea to whom or on what basis I would recommend it. I do like King-Smith's 'farmyard fantasies' and I do like the illustrators that are chosen for each book, so after wavering I gave it 3 stars instead of only 2. ( ) This story is great for older children. It is written as a chapter book, however the chapters are very short. This story is about a magical goose which children fall in love with. Anything magical seems to intrigue children and keep them reading. This book is part of my personal library. I would recommend this book to all children ages 9 and up. The Golden Goose is about three brothers who are sent into the forrest to chop wood. Each bother went one at a time. The first and second brother had no luck because they did not share their gifts ( food and such) with the little old man. The third brother Dummling had much better luck because he did share his gifts with the little old man. This man gave him a golden goose! He was the lucky one with the golden goose and the princess and ended up living happily ever after! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
