FGMAMTC Blog Review Giveaway 4.5 stars This author is good at creating wonderful female leads. Scarlet is so original. I can't compare her to any others from recent books I've read. I love this because it seems so often that the women in romance books can only have a couple of personalities. Scarlet is multidimensional with her very own flaws and attractions. Actually every person in this story is not the average role. I'd say they're all a little 'off' in some way, and it makes them very interesting and not easily figured out. I was never quite sure what action or reaction someone would have in each scene of this story. I like that. Theo is unusual type of romantic hero. He's not the kind of man who sweeps you away. He grows on you. I love Theo and Scarlet. They definitely have a relationship that pulls out all the emotions. If you like troubled characters with big hearts, this is that couple. Even though it's not really his story, Scarlet's dad, Oscar, stole the show for me. I completely fell for him. ♥ The storyline surprised me often. Sometimes it felt like a spiritual journey and really spoke to me on that level. Other times the passion was intense, or the plot felt suspenseful. There are some twists and mysteries that I didn't even know were going to play out connected to everything. If you're looking for a romance with a different feel, please check this out. It's sexy, exciting, thoughtful and just a bit of everything. I enjoyed it. ***Copy given in exchange for an honest review*** Fangirl Moments and My Two Cents Website / Facebook / Twitter / Google / Pinterest / Goodreads / Tumblr / Bloglovin' / Instagram nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
"My name is Scarlet Stone, and my biggest fear is that someday I will find what I want most in life, and it will be impossible to steal." What happens when life just stops? When one moment makes you question your entire existence? Scarlet Stone is a third-generation thief who has everything: a doting fianc , a spacious London flat, and a legitimate job offer. In a single breath, everything becomes nothing, and she finds herself on a plane to Savannah, Georgia in search of the meaning of life. After securing a six-month lease for a beachfront house on Tybee Island, Scarlet changes the way she looks, thinks, eats-basically her entire outlook on life. She needs peace, but what she gets is a housemate who looks like Thor, acts like a warden, and smells her proximity like a Bloodhound. Theodore Reed is a carpenter and perfectionist with a body built of steel, a black, hollow heart, and a hunger for revenge. He doesn't like company, girly-smelling crap, and British accents. He resents every breath she takes. She's fascinated by his every move. In time, they discover their coexistence is toxic, their physical attraction is electric, the secrets they keep mean the difference between life and death, and the only truth they share is that everything is a lie. "Over eighty-five percent of the world's population believes in a higher power, yet, very few people believe in miracles." Do you believe? Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

This book had the angst, devotion, and even a few laughs that I gave come to expect from this author. She is a master when it comes to stealing your soul and making you lose all track of time. It is getting to the point that I voluntarily fall down the rabbit hole when I read anything she writes.
Theo. What a complex beautiful man. I kept trying to figure him out. I wasn't expecting the twist. Scarlet. My goodness, how I loved her and her rattling of random facts at the most unusual of times. I loved that she learned to live again. Something many of us need to do. I loved the authors choice to make a Scarlet quote before the sections and then later incorporate it into that chapter. It's like finding an Easter egg.
This book is one of my favorites of this author. My only. Complaint was that I wanted to know more about Nolan. I felt his ending was abrupt. I wanted to know more of his story. ( )
