Commander Sullivan "Van" Tate was a SEAL, but that all changed when his Foster father had died, leaving him in charge of the billion dollar oil company, but as he and his brothers Lucas and Wolf were toast to the memory of the man, rather than the lousy father that he was. They received their last letter each from the great Noah Tate. Van's letter came as a huge shock to him! And it involved their foster sister Chloe and how she was in danger.

Chloe Tate was finally leaving the Tate ranch in Wyoming and headed to NYC! something her father had promised to do with her so many times, but as with everything that came out of her father's mouth, was a lie! Just like he promised her the ranch!! But he gave that all to Van as well! But now Van had summoned her to New York and while she was mad at the terms of her father's will, it didn't stop her from having butterflies about seeing Van! The man that she has loved since she was a child.

But nothing could prepare Chloe for the danger she was walking into, or how much Van and Chloe's relationship would, but when all the truth is revealed! Where will that leave Chloe and Van?!

Wow! What a rollercoaster of emotions this book has put me through, and yet! I want to read the next book SO badly right now!! I have never read a Jackie Ashenden book before, but after reading The Dangerous Billionaire, she is on my automatic 1-click list! The author has honestly written one of the most perfect romantic suspense books I have ever read, and I think that this book will change how I look at others in the future!

The plot has the perfect amount of rage against the parent, love, danger and intrigue, and the writing is powerful and heart felt! And you honestly cannot help but want to obey Van and love Chloe's sassy behavior...but I will say, but the end of the book you are desperate to know what was in Lucas and Wolf's letters.

I give The Dangerous Billionaire 5 stars! And now I'm just going to sit here and impatiently wait for book 2 ( )

Let me start by admitting this is my first book by Jackie Ashenden's novels, and I will forever be a fan. The Dangerous Billionaire left no emotion untapped and no stone unturned. I give it a five-star rating. I found this story to be emotion-packed, suspenseful, and addictive read. I loved the steam that Ashenden has in her story.

The Dangerous Billionaire is the first of three novels featuring the Tate Brothers. The brothers are Sullivan (Van), Lucas and Wolf--the adopted foster children of billionaire oil magnate Noah Tate, who also had a daughter, Chloe, and this novel is Van and Chloe's story. I am sure you are thinking "Didn't you just say, foster children?" I did, and now you will have to read to enjoy it as I did.

The three boys joined the Navy and became SEALs. Chloe grew up mostly alone on her father's Wyoming ranch. Chloe was closest to Van, who was ten years older than her. Van taught her to ride, and she both idolized as a child and crushed on as a teenager. Although he used to come home regularly on leave. Van has been gone without so much as a word for eight years. That all changes when Noah Tate dies, leaving letters for each of the boys and none for Chloe. Noah repeatedly told that the ranch was Chole's and, as we learn, that was not the only lie he told. ( )

Though this is another foster brother/sister situation Sullivan "Van" Tate doesn't have the same hesitation as Gideon in "Sin for me". His focus is fixed on the completion of his "mission" and getting back to his life in the military. He's willing to do whatever is needed to keep Chloe safe and make her feel secure. But what he doesn't realize is that she's been under his skin all this time and he has been subconsciously ignoring his true feelings. But with the death of their father, many truths are uncovered and lies are revealed. He finds that his feelings towards his father are quite similar to how Chloe feels and with this common ground he soon figures out that Chloe completes him in a way that nothing ever has.

This series also crosses over with the Billionaire Fairytales series and the De Santis characters. I found this really interesting and look forward to seeing how this plays out.

Van is tasked with keeping his foster sister, Chloe, safe. This is no easy task even when he brings her to stay with him in New York. With an enemy to stymie, chemistry to avoid acting upon and baggage from their pasts to contend with this book is fraught with trouble…and a few steamy encounters. I enjoyed the eventual ending of this book and look forward to reading the stories of Lucas and Wolf, Van’s brothers, when they are released.
