Review: This book is a good example of historical fiction because the fictional plot is credible. Most of the information is historically accurate. The story is an original presentation of the Nativity story through the eyes of two young travelers who follow Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.
Media: This book is a good example of crayon, charcoal, chalk and pastel media. There are no obvious abrupt lines and the figures are more defined as the colors are nicely blended.
Setting: The time is important in the book because it allows readers to understand why the characters are travelling on a donkey to Bethlehem. Also, the readers can grasp a clear understanding of why the birth of Christ is so important and meaningful.
