This story did not catch my interest as much but I think it is well written. It is about a Chinese teacher that has a deep love for education. This is a story I knew nothing about before reading this but I am happy I have read this and know now. This is a story where hardship and adversity are faced, but he still is able to push through. I would still recommend this book even though it was not one of my favorites. ( )

Relatively few have heard the name Confucius but his philosophy still has an impact today. He stated his golden rule “five hundred years before Jesus”. A thoughtful and insightful introduction abut “China’s uncrowned king” and his philosophy, the book is complete with relevant sources and quotations that remain useful and significant.

This book is illustrated by Demi in rich colors that resemble Chinese handscrolls. ( )
