Where Two Hearts Meet by Liz Johnson, © 2016
Prince Edward Island Dreams, Book 2

The clouds covered the moon, and the only exterior light came from the intermittent lightning. And the occasional sweep of the lighthouse's beam across the water.
Where Two Hearts Meet, 211.

Comfortable in your own world, doing what you know to do, all is well until your employer asks you to be a tour guide for one of the B&B summer visitors.

Return to Rose's Red Door Inn on Prince Edward Island and share more dreams the islanders didn't know they had. Expansion of ideas to include more guests and activities honed just for them, finding out strengths that have always been there but not exposed because they weren't stirred alive.

I liked how Seth and Marie Sloane trusted their chef, Caden Holt, as part of their team, encouraging her to take on more than she saw in herself. She develops an added incentive, however, uncertain how she is going to follow through.

Two guests shine in encouragement ~ Esther and Levi Eisenberg. I hope they will return each summer! What a bright spot they are. Their character and silence in contentment are so rich and their love and understanding of each other so vibrant.

Adam Jacobs arrives in an unusual way ~ entering through the kitchen sanctum. Marie is certain she doesn't have a reservation for him today, nor an empty guest room. The whiff of cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven draws him. Caden's domain.

So much to enjoy and learn about trust and confidence, this summer is going to be different for Caden as she realizes her strengths and solid continuance. Her skills are far reaching as she offers guidance with depth and importance that will be lasting.

Author Liz Johnson writes with a flair that is heartwarming and certain to draw you into Caden's kitchen too. Where Two Hearts Meet may be read as a stand-alone novel, but you won't want to miss any of the books in this series ~ book 1, The Red Door Inn, and On Love's Gentle Shore, book 3, to follow ~ coming summer 2017.

Her characters become family as they appear and bloom on the page. So enjoyable to meet them again.

Review:This is technically the second book in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series, but I read it as a standalone novel and I didn’t feel as though I was missing anything from the previous book. I was intrigued from the first page and didn’t want to put it down. This was such a happy book that had me transported onto the Island for a while. The imagery of Prince Edward Island was so well written that I could see the beaches and cliffs and could almost hear the waves rolling in. The characters were so easy to relate to that I truly felt as though I knew them. This quickly became one of my favorite books.

Recommendation: I would recommend this to anyone who loves romance novels or anyone who wants to have a little “vacation” through a book. You will not be disappointed!

*I received a free copy of this book from the publisher but I was not required to write a positive review, the views of this review are completely my own.*

Title: Where Two Hearts Meet (Prince Edward Island Series #2)
Author: Liz Johnson
Pages:384
Year: 2016
Publisher: Revell
My rating is 5+ stars.
Being an avid reader is a great blessing to me. The hard part is when a sequel comes out and though I remember the basics of the first story, I forget the nuances. So after I reread the first book in the series titled,The Red Door, I dove into Where Two Hearts Meet eager to see what happened with the main characters. In the series, it is not a matter of one or two main characters as there are really many with some reappearing of background people or introducing a new player to the story on Prince Edward Island.
If you haven’t read the first book, let me just say that we see once again Marie and Seth in the Red Door Inn with Caden having a bigger role in the sequel. When Liz Johnson first had Adam show up at the back door of the inn one day, I thought it was the man who hurt Marie in book one or her father;yet, it was neither. Adam came to the island because his editor sent him there on sabbatical because of his inability to cope with a previous assignment that kept haunting him.
As time passes, we watch as Caden learns to come out of her shell to risk her heart in many ways and Adam learning to allow grace to coat his heart. Adam also needs to know where he is going in life. The one person he wants might be afraid to allow him in her heart then he suddenly leaves without saying goodbye.
My heart was tugged many times as I read the book as Adam lived with nightmares and carried around a weight of guilt by his own choice. Caden is one of my favorites as I can identify with her in the aspects of seeing others so often fall in love when I was younger and not being chosen. Plus Caden is afraid to risk and doesn’t see herself for the courage she really lives out as she gets up after a time of losing in a contest to try again and again.
There will be a third book coming out next summer. While I am sure we will see what the latest is with Seth, Marie, Caden and Adam, I cannot help but wonder what is going to be revealed. These books take me to a place where I have never been, except in my imagination. Perhaps someday I can go to this island to see it for myself. I had to laugh when the author dedicated this book to her sister and shared an experience. Then when you read the blip about the author after the acknowledgements in theback of the book, there is a comment that refers to the dedication. I have a feeling you will burst out laughing too!I love when authors allow people to see they are just like anybody else and sometimes it’s just hilarious!

This is the second book in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series and after reading it was glad to see there would be another one. The book tells the story of Caden and Adam. Caden is a chef at the Red Door Inn and loves her job. When she is asked to show a visiting journalist around, it is not in her comfort zone, but she agrees to do it. I enjoyed the interaction between the charters and how Caden responds as she realizes that Adam is not quite who she thought he was. I liked how thing worked as the book progressed.

This is the second book in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series that I have read, and I enjoyed this one as much as the first, and can’t wait for the next one to come out.
We are back with Marie and Seth, and Caden Holt is their chef, and if I could only eat the words, the food sounds so so good, but an old nemesis is back in town, Bethany, and she wants to take Caden’s job. Of course Caden is insecure, and seems to think that Bethany might be able to steal her job, what can she do?
When Marie asks Caden to show their guest Adam Jacobs around the Island, she has to come out of her shell to try and help save the Inn, but she gets more than she has bargained for.
While Adam fights his demons, he has to come to terms with several deaths that he blames himself for, and there are other visitors to the Inn that might just be able to help him, if he will let them.
Come and enjoy a beautiful area of our World, a bit of romance, and a lot of delicious cooking.
I received this book through Revell Book Blogger’s Program, and was not required to give a positive review. ( )
