Apparently the second in a series. A group of children who have been DNA spliced with birds are on the run from their captors. This takes them from a brief stint in the DC area, to a country mansion of an FBI agent and then on two FL and Disney World. Pretty much non-stop from start to finish, reads like an action movie. ( )

This was good, I loved the chapters being so short and once more, it was fun to read about these characters. I was once more eagerly turning the page to find out what happened next and I love Max and the rest of the gang.

I liked this book. It incorporated different aspects of the characters, and really 'grew them up' if you will. Not as great as the first, because of cursing and all, but still a good piece of writing. ( )

In general I do not enjoy James Patterson novels as I find them predictable and formulaic but for some reason I quite enjoy the Maximum Ride series. I found the characters to be interesting and I found the story to be fascinating. I liked how it was fantastical but also believable enough that it felt like the vents could maybe actually happen. The writing style is very readable if a bit simplistic. ( )

Always liked James Patterson’s books but I never have imagined that he could write YA stories with flying teens that have to save the world…he did and he did write them very well! This series is wonderful!!! I love it! You can’t help but like the Flock, laugh at their banters and root for Max & Fang ( )
