This was a good follow up to Dirty English, although I liked the first book more. Remi was not likeable to me so I had a hard time rooting for her and Dax to get together. She was really wishy washy and I hated that she went back to her ex fiance. She was also unfair to Dax, being mad at him even though he didn't know the whole story. She was constantly drinking and then making bad decisions and that irritated me. But I did like Dax, even more so because we got a British narrator to listen to. There were some good romance scenes, but I felt like this could have been shorter. ( ) Ilsa blind-sided me with this book. Seriously. I was expecting it to me just like Dirty English, well at least somewhat like it. And it wasn't. Either way, it is a good thing (not that it wouldn't have been good had it been what I was kind of expecting). I was giggling from the beginning. I mean, well... I can't tell you that part. You have to read it yourself. This book was a much quicker read for me than its counterpart. There is just something about Dax's character and Remi. These two are a hit. Between Ilsa's wit and writing style, I was mostly immersed in this story. The constant battles, the mishaps, the banter. I enjoyed it all. This is definitely an HEA I can stand behind. One that is well deserved because of their past history and current relationship in this book. I was their little cheerleader on the sidelines begging for them to get their heads out of their behinds and be happy together. -- Want to know if the whole series is worth reading? Read my overall review of the whole series at seriesousbookreviews.com! Spoiler Free! This one started so strong but lost me by the end. Why did these two like each other? Besides physical attraction it was lost on me a bit. Maybe a little too true to Romeo and Juliet... I really disliked the ending as well. Very rushed. I actually thought I was missing a chapter or two from my Kindle... Sigh...I enjoyed this but it wasn't as awesome as I wanted it to be. From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Ilsa Madden-Mills comes a new, full-length standalone novel. A smokin' hot British player. A jilted girl. One night of mistaken identity. Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague's fiance drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University. She didn't plan on attending a masquerade party. She sure didn't plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago - the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos. Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London. But that's damn hard to do when you live in the same house. One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime. A modern love story inspired by Romeo and Juliet. No one dies in the writing of this novel. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
