A seemingly parallel story of two 'sisters' from 1838 and two friends in modern times. Gemma while working to catalogue archives finds a pair of duelling pistols and is determined to discover the story of their possible use in 1838 while trying to sort out the mess that has become her life. Didn't really find the modern story interesting enough. A NetGalley book ( )
