The best volume yet, with beautiful art and high quality brain candy of a plot. This comic made me want to (a) read more Marvel comics and (b) do math for fun - so a great gateway read in multiple senses.

And oh goodness, Ryan North really hits the mark here with nerdy humor: and I mean nerdy in the sense of "requires intellect," not "silly pop culture references from my childhood." ( )

I loved the first issue with Brain Drain and meeting Doreen's mama, but I'm just not a fan of time travel. Just skipped the Howard the Duck stuff for lack of interest. Still in this...just hoping for different antics in the next TP! ( )

Doreen's Mom comes to visit and while meeting Doreen's roommate, Nancy, all three of them are attacked by brain drain. There's also a time travel plotline with Doctor Doom. And a crossover arc with Howard the Duck. All silly and quip-tastic as usual. ( )

Tredje samlingen med Squirrel girl handlar i huvudsak om tidsresor. Doreen hamnar på något sätt i sextiotalet, och när Nancy försöker hjälpa henne ber hon om i sin tur om hjälp från … Doktor Doom. Som rest till deras samtid för att skaffa sig en arsenal så att han aldrig mer skall bli angripen av … Squirrel girl.

Det hela slutar inte oväntat med att de måste slåss, och med att vår hjältinna vinner. Vägen dit handlar mycket om tidsresor och paradoxer med dem och annat trams. Nu är det här en serie som i mycket lever på trams, i huvudsak tämligen intelligent sådant, och det framstår väldigt tydligt att tidsmaskiner är en typ av idé som lätt gör allt annat i berättelserna irrelevant.

Förutom historien med Doom finns en kort berättelse om hur Doreen får en ny vän (en hjärna i robotkropp, reformerad medlem av HYDRA), samt en gemensam berättelse med Howard the Duck, där de råkar ut för en galen cosplayer som vill jaga halvmänniskor i tron att det blir semilegalt. Howard verkar röra sig i en likartat mindre seriös värld som Squirrel girl, så det hela funkar. Den bästa humorn här, liksom tidigare, är när de driver med andra figurer, inte mediet i stort.

Till slut måste också påpekas att den läsarsida som tas med är helt underbar, med bilder på ekorrar och folk som klär ut sig till Squirrel girl. Bara de är värda att skaffa samlingarna för. ( )

As you could maybe guess from the title, this is the third collection of Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comics. That's right, the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl! She has the powers of a squirrel and the powers of a girl, and she's here to eat nuts and kick butts!

I have to admit I've never really been a huge fan of superhero comics (something which, I'm aware, means I'm probably missing all kinds of Marvel references and in-jokes in these), but if more of them were like Squirrel Girl, I'm sure I would be, because these are just tons of fun.

This particular collection features a rather slight one-issue story in which Squirrel Girl befriends a nihilistic brain in a jar/cyborg, and a delightfully ridiculous multi-part story featuring time travel and supervillain Doctor Doom. There is also a two-part crossover with Howard the Duck. Which... Well, hey, ducks, squirrels, sure. Why not? ( )
