This is a complicated story about the Trojan War that was started because Paris came upon three goddesses that were arguing over a golden apple that said it was for the most beautiful. They asked Paris to judge who the apple should go to, and they each offered a gift for picking them. Paris chose Aphrodite whose gift was Helen, the most beautiful girl in the world.

Paris, overwhelmed by love, chose that gift, but he didn't get her until ten years later when she was already married. Then, Paris had to steal her. The Greeks got angry and started a war.

At the end of the war, the Greeks built a horse which they hid in. Then, when the Trojans brought the horse in, they waited for night, and they went and killed everyone while they slept.

I love the illustrations because they are funny. ( )
