I enjoyed this. I don't think I've read much of this author's work. It felt fairly substantial which is not always the case with modern HPs which can sometimes feel really light on actual story telling. The story was pretty realistic since I can totally believe that an 18 year old girl would be easily persuaded by her money trouble having parents that the foreigner she thought she was in love with wasn't the right man for her. But they never forgot each other and when they meet again realize that they still care for each other. The virgin widow thing I just have to swallow and get over it. Hero tried to be an ass but acknowledged to himself pretty early that he just couldn't so that was nice. A good read and I might check out more from this author.


Worst part is referring to her dead husband as an ex husband rather than a late husband. Shakes head sadly. ( )
