I just started to use this as a reference. This is the 1899 edition. While some entries are terse and consisting of only one line, others offer more info about the individual. The book doesn't offer an exhaustive list of personalities. For example, I was unable to find a listing for Nail Of The Nine Hostages, one of my ancesters and a high kind of Ireland. Some listings are under alternate, AKA listings, but that isn't hard to navigate. In searching for Christian persons, many of the early fathers and saints are listed, but Jesus Christ is not. The only Jesus listed is Jesus, son of Sirach, the author of the apocryphal Book of Ecclesiasticus.
