A well written F/m romance that manages to be good erotica and a good story. I've enjoyed Elizabeth Kelly's Red Moon series in the past, and was delighted to find a book from her whose description hinted at some femdom fun. I was not disappointed.

Both main characters are delightfully human, coming together to explore their desire for kinky sex while hiding the truth of their hearts from each other out of fears and insecurities that will resonate with many of us. Liam Knight's wealth can get him anything he wants--except for a woman who accepts him as he is and is willing to dominate him sexually. Mae is fighting to get out from student loan debt after discovering the hard way that nursing isn't for her and doesn't want to admit that she is attracted to her sharp-tongued boss.

One of the things I love about this story is that the character's aren't inherently incompatible people who are drawn together in spite of themselves (which seems to be the cop-out way so many romance author's create conflict). Instead, conflict between the two characters comes from their insecurities and fears to be honest with each other, while outside conflict (a no dating policy at work and an ex out to make trouble) just adds fuel to the fire.

I'm giving four stars rather than five because the spa scene and the idea that a woman can't be beautiful without waxing, make-up, and 4 hours in a salon just rubs me the wrong way.

Highly recommended for anyone interested in some light F/m and a good story. ( )
