Magic, the very word fires the imagination. Long ago the world of Ynara was once filled with magic but now it is passing into the realm of myth and legend. Serinda, an elven woman haunted by the brutal murder of her parents, is travelling with her adoptive uncle in search of the lost magic in order to right that dark day. They hire a small band of mercenaries to help them travel to the dangerous land of Wolden where Serinda is determined to complete her quest no matter the cost. A chance encounter starts a chain reaction of events from which they may not be able to escape. With one lead after another ending in frustration, Serinda's desperation forces her to travel to a mysterious land where no one has returned alive. What she discovers is not what she expected and the surprising revelations force her to question her entire quest. As they continue their travels the group finds their loyalties are tested, their hearts flourishing, and their very existence in peril against a power beyond their understanding.
