In a reversal of the Goldilocks story, a bear explores the home of the three Blairs while they are out.

Cute enough, but pretty much just a switcheroo from the classic; nothing really special.  I have a sense that it's famous... maybe in 1990 it was groundbreaking? ( )

Funny reversal story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Kids would think this is hilarious. Would be good to use after reading the original Goldilocks.

This is a very sweet retelling of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," except with a human family and a little bear that wreaks havoc. I loved this book as a child; the illustrations are bright and colorful. This would be a fun story to read to a group of very young students for story time, as many of them are probably familiar with the original fairy tale. I'm not sure how to use this in a lesson, unless we were doing a unit on fairy tales and looking at different versions of stories, which would be interesting. The characters don't really develop in this book as it is meant for very young audiences. ( )
