Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. 734 As reboots of a franchise goes, this is definitely one of the best. The horrors of Parallax and Sinestro come back to the forefront, but this isn't all just about Hal Jordan. This is about all the Earthly Green Lanterns. I feel spoiled and rather silly. I read the volumes leading up to and through the Blackest Night cycle, of which this began it, but I started several volumes after this one. I feel kind of stupid, now. This was very good. It also looks like I need to go back and read through all the Corps as well. As a mythology, it's really robust. As a space opera, it's pretty damn glorious and flashy and Huge. In many ways, GL is easily one of the best comics out there, able grab my imagination in a stranglehold and scream at me to Submit! ;) But I won't fear. I think I'll just read and enjoy. :) The return of Hal Jordan. My first foray into all things Green Lantern and it's definitely a way to do it with a bang. There's a nice interweaving of all the different men who have taken up the mantle of Green Lantern plus some appearances from other heroes in the DC universe. There's enough back story given that you don't feel completely lost but I have to admit that the art, while beautiful, had me a little confused as to what was actually happening in a few fight sequences. I read this book so many times and it still feels fresh every time I read it. Everything about this book is so amazing from the writing to ideas and to the visuals. Geoff manages to catch me up to speed in what’s going on the Green lantern part of the world and restablisbes Hal as a force to be reckon with in the DC universe. Everything flowed so perfectly where it’s so hard putting this book down... Favorites moments: -Black hand loses his hand -guy Gardner getting his ring back and blasting everyone away -the introduction of Sinestro -Green arrow using all of his will to conjure up an arrow -Hal vs Sinestro -How each ring is expressed differently for each user Least favorite moments: -the portrayal of Batman -convuluted mess of the Hal being the Spectre (not Johns fault) -the beginning of the book is rather boring -Kyle Rayner sleeping most of the time nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Hal Jordan was considered the greatest Green Lantern of them all. But Jordan lost control, allowed himself to be corrupted and transformed into the villainous Parallax. Later, Jordan reappeared and made the ultimate sacrifice-a sacrifice that allowed him to become the Spectre, the Wrath of God. After several years of activity on Earth, The Spectre became restless and sought a way to prove himself worthy of that noble reputation. See how a man born without fear and seeking to rebuild his life, puts cosmic forces into motion that will have repercussions not only on Earth but across the universe. This volume set up the events of BLACKEST NIGHT and revitalized Green Lantern as one of the most important heroes of the DCU!. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
