She's in Argos gong after a wizard named Kalas-Ra. And in the end he manages to curse Sonja. At first I thought it was a really, really weird curse, but then as the story went along it definitely gave such a depth to the story and while the curse wasn't a usual one, it definitely worked. Sonja also picks up another person who follows her around, Haven, a guy who used to be a wizard who could create fire. I liked that character too. Add to all that a subplot about Sonja going after the last man alive from those who killed Sonja's family and then a story (my favorite in the TPB) about a library and nuns. It was a really good TPB and probably my favorite in the Gail Simone run on Red Sonja. I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of Dynamite Comics. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

While the Hyrkanian warrior aids a small village against the ravages of a rampant parasite, she picks up the trail of the man she hates and distrusts most in the world: the last survivor of the marauders who murdered her family. In the grip of a vangeful obsession that is all-consuming, the heroine barely recognizes herself. Can even the unconquerable Red Sonja return from a darkness so complete?
