I loved her descriptions and thought the love story was beautiful. Highly recommend. ( )

Lady Katrina Glendon just can't seem to snare a husband, none that will satisfy her anyway. Her latest beau left her for another and her choices are getting fewer. When her parents declare that they're going to marry her to an older man she flees the house in tears where Gable Winston-Mac Cray, Viscount Roland discovers her (while searching for an earring lost during a dalliance with another). He finds her interesting and offers her advice which she embraces, but they keep meeting and the attraction isn't going away.

There were times when the author seemed to be piling on yet another historical romance cliche onto the pile but overall I found it very readable and entertaining. Standing back and looking at it I could see plotholes but overall interesting. ( )

A cute story and a quick read. Lady Katrina Glendon decides that she must officially become a spinster in order to let her younger sisters have their turns at the marriage mart. Her neighbor, Gable, Viscount Roland, finds her crying and the two become friends. Gable is not worried that Katrina will pursue him and she enjoys his companionship. The tables are turned when Gable needs a wife and Katrina refuses him based on the advice he originally gave her.
The hero and heroine are engaging though I wasn't sure exactly why Katrina was considered an odd duck. She's slightly outspoken, but in no way a bluestocking or otherwise objectionable. Still, this was a nice novella. ( )

Meet the characters for the Moonlight Square series here. This is a delightful frothy romp as Gable gives advice to Lady Katrina that she should do what makes her happy when it comes to marriage. She decides to get out of the Marriage Mart and become a spinster. His father, however, makes it clear that he will be cut off if he does not marry after he duels with the husband of a recent tryst. Now when it seems that maybe Lady Katrina might be perfect for him she has sworn off marriage and men.

One Moonlit Night was fun. It is very tongue-in-cheek and I defy anyone to read it and not be amused by Gable and Katrina. They seem to be moving in opposite directions. She refuses to take him seriously and he's never been more serious in his life. I liked the glimpses of the characters who will be coming in the series. I like the set-up so the backstory is there. I am so looking forward to this series. ( )
