For years I've read John Creasey's Novels and I have a particular soft spot for the Toff and the Baron. When I came across this one I lept at the chance to revisit and old friend. It didn't disappoint. With shades of the Saint but definitely more on the side of law, and with the law's connivance, Richard Rollinson, the Toff, investigates why someone wants to bump him off. This brings him into a conspiracy to deal in an awful lot of cocaine.
It's dated and sweet really but I enjoy revisiting old friends. It's like visiting that uncle of yours that had adventures when he was young and regales the younger folk with them. ( )
