This informational book is full of fun facts of California, and gives full descriptions of each fact. It talks about the California state flower, the poppy, and the 49rs. This book gives us the history of the state.

This is a great example of an informational book. There are easily distinguishable facts as well as helpful pictures to go along with them. The information is accurate, and up to date, and could easily be used for a report or to learn more about the state of CA. The story teaches information through the gleaning of information, but there is also a separate column that just gives stright facts. ( )
