This book went through the alphabet and with each letter gave a characteristic of California. With each letter and characteristic also came a short description of the characteristic. This is a good informational book because it teaches about California and the alphabet. PRIMARY, INTERMEDIATE. Illustrations: Printed mixed media ( ) Informational Review: This book goes through the alphabet using names, places, and things that are famous to California. Critique: It is a good informational text because it allows children, from California specifically, to connect with the different letters of the alphabet in new ways. It is also good because if someone from outside of California read it, they would learn more about the state of California. This is a great example of an informational book. There are easily distinguishable facts as well as helpful pictures to go along with them. The information is accurate, and up to date, and could easily be used for a report or to learn more about the state of CA. The story teaches information through the gleaning of information, but there is also a separate column that just gives stright facts. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
