Don't miss this unforgettable New York Times bestseller about sisters, loss, and the search for home that Library Journal calls "a hands-down winner!"
Lily Danville's life is crumbling around her. With no money and no home, her only choice is to go back to the one town she swore she'd never see again: Cedar Ridge, Colorado. Back to the memories of her sister's tragic death. Back to the place where, ten years ago, she shared an unforgettable kiss with Aidan Kincaid-the man her sister once loved.
A new job at the town's hottest resort is just the fresh start Lily has been looking for...until she discovers the resort is owned by none other than the Kincaid family. How can she possibly see Aidan every day without feeling as if she's betraying her sister?
But as secrets from the past come to light and Lily starts to realize the truth, she can only hope it's not too late to find love, family, and forgiveness.

This is one of those books that relies on the attractiveness of the leads. You''re compelled to spend time with them. Very easy to read, could be shorter though, given the material. Nevertheless, I Immediately moved on to the next book in the series - when Hud finds his soul mate in My Kind of Wonderful. But by the end of that one, I'd had my fix, as the books while absorbing are a little drawn out / long winded. Also, I was tired of narrator Karen White's style of reading. It's wonderfully clear but her mannerisms don't appeal to me, kind of intrusive into the story. ( )

Good emotional growth, but there was a lot of alpha male bossypants going on, which really bugged me. ( )

Lily Danville has just about lost everything. She has no money, no home and no job. Returning home to Cedar Ridge, Colorado might just be the fresh start she needs. Lily was fortunate enough to get a job almost right away. She will be working at the town's resort. Lily is none too happy, however, to discover the that resort is owned by the Kincaid family.

The Kincaid family. This is a problem because Lily is incredibly attracted to Aidan Kincaid. However, when she was younger, it was her sister that was head over heels for Aidan. Sadly, she lost her sister back then, and Lily is afraid to act on her feelings for Aidan. She wants her memories of her sister to be pure.

Meanwhile, Aidan is drawn to Lily and has never forgotten a kiss they shared ten years ago. Is this the opportunity for another chance between them? On the one hand, Aidan wants to pursue Lily, but he is incredibly busy as a wildlife firefighter. Aidan participates in a lot of search-and-rescue operations.

This story had a few layers to it. Lily and Aidan were growing closer, but a lot of attention was focused on the rescues, as well as other conflicts. Even so, I did enjoy this book by Jill Shalvis and have already downloaded the other two books, My Kind of Wonderful and Nobody But You. Even though this wasn't my favorite book by Jill Shalvis, I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. ( )

She broke his heart when she left after her father and sister's death. He's a fireman and works S&R, he loves her and shows her she deserves to be loved.
