When someone breaks into Jonas’s house looking for a phone that his teenage son has--the phone belonging to a dead woman--Jonas calls Capitol K-9 Unit officer Brooke for help. This was a very enjoyable story. I really liked heroine Brooke a lot. It was a nice change to have a female in the cop/protector role. I totally loved her canine partner, Mercy. The story was fast-paced and action-packed. Not all storylines are wrapped up by the end though, this being book 3 of 6 in the Capitol K-9 Unit series. (
