2015-05-16/100%: Enjoyable with just the kind of smart-ass banter that I like. The Tonto talk was annoying at first and became more so when "babe" was dropped in as it jangled badly. Despite that, and the over-detailed fight scenes, it was a good read. ( )

There's an interesting plot idea touched on by this story. But instead of developing the plot about the crashed spaceship, we get only a mention of it, before it's buried under a steaming pile of warmed-over pulp tropes, uncompelling description, and broken English. Also how/why do they end up in the army? Is it just so we can have a cliched training montage? Also, a woman's nose is gratuitously described as "pert". ( )
