Franklin seeks shell-ter from a storm and learns about the weather in a beloved storybook from the series that inspired the Franklin and Friends TV show!
In this Franklin Classic Storybook, Franklin is afraid of thunderstorms. When a storm approaches while he is playing at Fox's house, a flash of lightning sends Franklin into his shell. He refuses to come outâ??even for snacksâ??until his friends make him laugh with their tall tales about what causes storms. And when Beaver explains what really causes thunder and lightning, Franklin begins to feel much safer… (altro)

franklin is scared of the thunderstorm but after spending some time with his friends and talking about the thunderstorm, he feels much better. He even thinks it's funny when him and friends talk about the thunder giants playing in the sky to make the storm.

In my opinion, this is a great book for young readers to read to help them get over a fear. The big idea of this book is to help children get over something they may have struggled with because it is "scary." Franklin was scared of the thunderstorms, that is until his friends helped eased his nerves and made him feel more comfortable. This is a situation that could happen in real life. The characters were believable because they acted as if they were human. The plot was great because it presented a problem, Franklin's fear of thunderstorms and walking to his friend's house, that was eventually fixed. The plot shows the characters overcoming this problem with one another!

What a cute story! I really enjoyed it and the pictures are so colorful and fun. It is really a great story if you have children who are afraid of thunderstorms.

And adults enjoy it too. :-D ( )

Franklin, the gentle turtle so popular with preschoolers of a generation ago, is born in digital format in this ebook faithfully reproduced from the original picture book. The illustrations appear on one side of the spread and text on the other, which works better in the print version of this text than in digital version, as preschoolers cannot see the pictures as the corresponding text is read aloud. For more success as a digital picture book, some alternative formatting would be recommended (viewed via BlueFire Reader). (99) ( )

Frankling and the Thunderstorm is a cute book to show students they can have courage. It is a neat way for students to see what courage and ambition is.
