If you want an objective view of Lyme disease, from cause to treatment, this is a great book. For someone who’s not a medical professional, there are some chapters on medical treatment you might want to skip. Also, the author provides some interesting insights on the complexity of developing detection and treatment methods for Lyme disease. This book helped me learn much more about Lyme disease in preparation for a 2020 hike of the Appalachian Trail. Overall, a very worthwhile book. ( )
