This book is a simple yet effect story. It makes connections to students lives as they can respond to the text with methods they use to sleep at night. They may also share what frightens them before bed. Teachers can connect this to math as it is sequential in the sheep falling asleep. Also teachers can focus on sequence in literature i.e. beginning middle end and the functions of a text. This book is best suited to children in k-1 (
